Cathy Heyworth Harris is a seven-year resident of Southwest Florida.
She was born, raised, and lived in Alaska for 43 years. A former City
Councilwoman, she served a three-year term on the Homer City Council and was a President Bush appointee to the Cook Inlet Regional Citizen's Advisory Committee following the 1989 T/V Exxon Valdez oil spill.
She helped Petition and win Proposition 3, to build an LNG natural gas pipeline
within Alaska, which was created through Citizen's PETITION Initiative and is now Alaska
State law.
She currently serves on the Bonita Springs, Florida Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee Transportation Task Force, and is a licensed Florida Mortgage Broker.
Her husband is also a licensed Florida Mortgage broker.
In 1964, Cathy and her family survived the 9.2 Great Alaskan Good Friday earthquake.
